(BOSTON.CBSLOCAL) — DORCHESTER – Someone smashed the head off of a statue of Jesus in Dorchester.

The Rev. Jack Ahern of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church said he found the statue’s head lying on the ground in pieces last weekend.

“Sunday morning, about three o’clock, someone saw someone smashing the head of Christ, completely decapitating Christ and pushed the statue off its base,” he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Wednesday.
